Individual nutritional counseling in Vienna 1010: Moving away from constant control toward a better quality of life

Eating is far more than just the supply of nutrients. It is closely linked to health, enjoyment, culture, emotions, and everyday life. At the same time, uncertainties, health complaints, or contradictory nutritional information can make dealing with food difficult. At the malacht practice in Vienna 1010, dietician and nutritional scientist Sophia Mayer supports you in finding an individual path suitable for everyday life – evidence-based, needs-oriented, and free from rigid rules or prohibitions.

The focus is not on the search for "perfect" nutrition, but on a way of eating that suits you or your family and can be implemented in the long term. Counseling is weight-neutral, resource-oriented, and aims to promote a relaxed relationship with food as well as trust in one's own needs.

A special focus lies on supporting families as well as child and adolescent nutrition. Parents receive individual support with questions regarding complementary foods, weight development, selective eating behavior (picky eating), or uncertainties in everyday family life. Women's health also forms a central focus – from the desire to have children, pregnancy, and breastfeeding to nutritional therapy support for conditions such as PCOS or menopausal symptoms.

Furthermore, the services include evidence-based nutritional therapy for numerous medical issues – for adults as well as for children and adolescents. These include metabolic and cardiovascular diseases such as type 2 diabetes mellitus, lipid metabolism disorders or high blood pressure, digestive complaints, celiac disease, and food intolerances such as lactose intolerance or fructose malabsorption. We also provide individual and practical support for you or your child in cases of diagnosed nutrient deficiencies as well as in the planning and needs-based implementation of a vegetarian or vegan diet.

As part of the interdisciplinary team at the malacht medical center, you and your family benefit from close cooperation with the treating physicians. Together, we develop solutions that suit your life situation or the needs of your child – scientifically sound, practical, and sustainably implementable. The focus is not on diets, prohibitions, or feelings of guilt, but rather on health, self-determination, enjoyment, and a long-term relaxed relationship with food.
