I completed my medical studies in Vienna and have many years of surgical and clinical experience in renowned specialist departments in Austria and abroad. At the Malacht Medical Center, I take the necessary time for a structured clinical examination as well as detailed counseling for my female and male patients on evidence-based treatment concepts.

Specialist expertise is based on sound academic training and continuous practical work in the field of orthopedics and traumatology:
- 2004–2011: Study of human medicine at the Medical University of Vienna.
- 2012: Work in the orthopedic teaching practice of Dr. Jagenbrein.
- 2012–2013: Training in general surgery at Göttlicher Heiland Hospital, Vienna.
- 2014: Orthopedic specialization abroad at Duke University Hospital, North Carolina, USA.
- 2015–2017: Training in trauma surgery and sports traumatology at Klinik Ottakring, Vienna.
- 2017–2020: Specialist deepening in the Department of Orthopedics at Bogenhausen Hospital, Munich, Germany.
- 2020–2023: Work in the specialized shoulder team at Klinik Ottakring, Vienna.
- Since 2023: Specialist at Sanatorium Hera with a focus on sports orthopedics and joint replacement.
Specialty: Shoulder surgery and shoulder arthroscopy
The shoulder joint is characterized by a high degree of freedom of movement, but due to its primarily muscular and ligament-stabilized structure, it is susceptible to injuries, instabilities, and degenerative processes. As part of specialized shoulder diagnostics, modern treatment concepts are applied across the full spectrum of shoulder complaints:
Degenerative changes and chronic complaints
- Shoulder osteoarthritis (omarthrosis): Diagnostics, staging, and stepwise treatment of joint wear.
- Impingement syndrome & bursitis: Treatment of impingement syndromes under the acromion and chronic irritation (bursitis).
- Calcific tendinitis (tendinitis calcarea) & frozen shoulder: Interventional and conservative measures for acute, painful restrictions of movement.
Injuries, tendon lesions, and instabilities
- Rotator cuff tears: Reconstruction and suturing of tendon tears in the shoulder area.
- Shoulder dislocation & instability: Conservative stabilization or surgical reconstruction after a joint dislocation, as well as for injuries to the acromioclavicular joint (AC joint).
- Biceps tendon lesions & fractures: Treatment of injuries to the tendon anchor as well as fractures in the shoulder girdle area.
Inpatient treatment and partner clinics
If conservative treatment options have been exhausted and a surgical procedure or inpatient pain therapy is indicated, I carry out these treatments in modern private clinics and sanatoriums in Vienna. AREAS OF FOCUS
In addition to specialized shoulder medicine, the range of services includes functional and surgical treatment of other major joints as well as the spine:
- Joint replacement (endoprosthetics): Indication, preoperative planning, and performance of joint replacement procedures on the shoulder, hip, and knee for advanced osteoarthritis.
- Cartilage protection & osteoarthritis therapy: Use of modern viscosity-enhancing procedures (e.g., hyaluronic acid injections) as well as biological regeneration procedures (e.g., autologous conditioned plasma – ACP/autologous blood therapy).
- Hand and foot surgery: Surgical and conservative treatment of nerve compression syndromes (e.g., carpal tunnel syndrome), trigger fingers, and orthopedic deformities of the forefoot (e.g., hallux valgus).
- Spine & conservative pain therapy: Targeted interventional pain therapy for acute or chronic lumbar and cervical complaints, including inpatient care for acute herniated discs or bone marrow edema.
