PERSONAL
I was born in Hungary in 1961 and grew up there. I am married and the father of two adult children. As part of my medical career, I relocated to Vienna. Since 2010, I have served as Head of the Pediatric Radiology Department at a leading children’s hospital in Vienna, bringing my extensive clinical experience and expertise to the outpatient care and preventive care of children and adolescents.
TRAINING
My academic and specialist qualifications are based on international training at renowned university hospitals:
- Human Medicine: Medical studies at the Universities of Mainz and Ulm.
- Specialist Training: Radiology specialist training in Ravensburg and at the University Medical Center of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz.
- Specialization: Advanced training and acquisition of additional certification in the specialized field of Pediatric Radiology at the University Hospitals of Mainz and Frankfurt am Main.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
My professional career encompasses more than three decades of continuous work in radiological diagnostics as well as leadership positions in the field of pediatric maximum care:
Clinical Leadership Positions and Department Head:
- Oberschwabenklinik Ravensburg: From 2001, served as Senior Physician of Pediatric Radiology
- Klinikum Kassel / Kinderkrankenhaus Park Schönfeld: From 2008 to 2010, Chief Physician of Pediatric Radiology at this maximum care center
- St. Anna Children’s Hospital Vienna: Since August 2010, Head and Director of the Pediatric Radiology Department at St. Anna Children’s Hospital
Diagnostic Milestones and Focus Areas:
- Extensive Expertise: Continuously active in radiological diagnostics for adults, children, and adolescents since 1988, with a specific focus on pediatric radiology as Senior Physician, Chief Physician, and Department Head since 1995
- Ultrasound Diagnostics: Extensive experience as a certified DEGUM instructor (German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine) for the entire field of pediatric ultrasound diagnostics
- Reference Radiology: Long-standing role as reference radiologist for imaging diagnostics in pediatrics, with particular focus on highly specialized pediatric oncology
- Teaching: Active participation in student and academic teaching for the training of future physicians

- Pediatric Ultrasound Diagnostics (Sonography): Radiation-free examination of organs, joints, and tissue structures in infants and children according to the highest DEGUM standards.
- Pediatric Radiology & Specialized Reporting: Specialized assessment of X-ray, MRI, and CT examinations in childhood and adolescence.
- Pediatric Oncological Imaging: Highly specialized radiological diagnostics and follow-up monitoring for cancer in childhood.
