PERSONAL
Vienna is my hometown. I live here with my family and am the mother of a daughter and a son. The experiences from my own family life support my practical understanding of everyday challenges and the medical concerns of parents and legal guardians. At the malacht medical center, I care for my patients based on current scientific guidelines and in a professional, trusting environment.
TRAINING
My professional qualifications are based on a multi-stage academic and clinical education at recognized institutions and teaching practices:
- Human medicine: Studied human medicine at the Medical University of Vienna.
- General practice: Internship and training as a general practitioner at Mödling Regional Hospital.
- Specialist training: Specialization as a consultant in pediatrics and adolescent medicine, completed at Mödling Regional Hospital and at the pediatric teaching practice DDr. Voitl and Partners in Vienna.
- Acute pediatric care: Extensive experience in the acute care of infants, children and adolescents with acute illnesses and medical emergencies in everyday clinical practice.
- Specialized outpatient work: Many years of work in the pediatric nephrology outpatient clinic (kidney diseases in children), with a specific focus on care and therapy planning for enuresis patients (bedwetting).
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
My clinical practice includes many years of work in hospital outpatient departments as well as in pediatric acute and initial care:
- Clinical outpatient work: Through my many years of work in the outpatient departments of Mödling Regional Hospital, I have extensive experience in diagnostics and acute treatment across the full spectrum of pediatrics and adolescent medicine.
- Pediatric initial care (Vienna General Hospital): Since 2022, I have been working for the on-call medical radio service in the Pediatric Initial Care Outpatient Clinic (KEA) at Vienna General Hospital (AKH). This role includes primary medical care and triage of acute pediatric illnesses and emergencies in the urban area.
To me, pediatrics means supporting children and their families with heart, time, and professional expertise.
AREAS OF FOCUS
- General pediatrics & preventive care: Carrying out all structured Parent-Child Health Record examinations (Mother-Child Health Record), vaccination consultations in accordance with the Austrian vaccination schedule, and ongoing developmental diagnostics.
- Pediatric nephrology & enuresis therapy: Specialist assessment, advice and support for functional and organic disorders of bladder function as well as nocturnal bedwetting (enuresis).
- Infant hip ultrasound: Performing ultrasound examinations of the infant hip as part of preventive care for early detection and treatment of hip dysplasia.
- School medicine consultation: Medical expertise in school health medicine to assess developmental issues at school age.
DIPLOMAS / CERTIFICATES
- Specialist diploma in pediatrics and adolescent medicine: Official proof of pediatric specialization under Austrian medical law.
- Hip ultrasound diploma: Certified qualification to perform and interpret hip ultrasound in infants.
- Emergency physician diploma: Valid diploma from the Austrian Medical Chamber (ÖÄK) for pre-hospital emergency medicine.
- School physician diploma: Recognized ÖÄK diploma for the specific requirements of school medical care.
- DFP diploma: Valid continuing education diploma from the Austrian Medical Chamber as proof of ongoing medical training.
