Born on 13 February 1955 in Vienna. Father of two sons.

EDUCATION

Studied at the Medical Faculty of the University of Vienna. Specialized in pediatrics. Psychosomatic curriculum with a diploma in “Doctor of Psychosomatic Medicine”. In training as a psychotherapist on the basis of Katathym Imaginative Psychotherapy (Austrian Society for Autogenic Training and Psychotherapy). Specialized in anesthesiology and intensive care medicine. Authorized as an emergency doctor.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Medical experience in many different clinics. From June 1994 university assistant at the Department of Anesthesiology and General Intensive Care Medicine of the University of Vienna. In March 2000 Dr. Klasen got appointed as the senior physician and head of the surgical operations unit at the St. Anna Children’s Hospital. Since April 2010 in private practice as a pediatrician, anesthesiologist and pain therapist. Founder and managing director of malacht Kinder- und Jugendmedizin.
