PERSONAL

I was born in Tripoli (Libya). For my medical studies, I moved to Germany, where I studied at the renowned Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main.
Through my many years of work as a senior physician at leading German centers for spinal deformities, I was able to gain comprehensive clinical and surgical experience. At the Ärztezentrum Malacht, I bring this specialized expertise to the outpatient care of my patients in Vienna.

TRAINING

My expertise in spinal surgery is based on structured specialization at internationally recognized centers for spinal deformities in Germany. There, I was able to gain comprehensive experience in the diagnosis, conservative treatment, and surgical management of complex spinal disorders and deformities.

Human Medicine: Medical studies at J. W. Goethe University Frankfurt am Main.

Specialist Training: Obtaining the specialist title for Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery through the State Medical Association of Hesse.

Clinical Foundation: Positions at the Spine and Deformity Center of the Orthopedic Clinic Markgröningen as well as in the Spinal Surgery Department of St. Josefs Hospital Wiesbaden.

Senior Physician Position (Deformity Center): Approximately four years of work as a specialist and senior physician at a leading German center for pediatric and adult spinal deformities at the Eifelklinik Simmerath.

MEDICAL FOCUS AREAS AND RANGE OF SERVICES

The practice’s spectrum encompasses conservative, interventional, and surgical treatment of spinal disorders in children, adolescents, and adults.

Pediatric and Adult Spinal Deformities (Scoliosis)
A central focus lies in the early detection, close monitoring, and treatment of spinal curvatures.

Dynamic Scoliosis Correction (DSC): I have extensive experience with this modern, motion-preserving procedure (also known as Vertebral Body Tethering / VBT), which enables flexible guidance of the spine during growth without rigid fusion.

Conservative Scoliosis Management: Structured brace treatment and physiotherapeutic support to prevent progression.

Spinal Surgery & Interventional Measures
When conservative measures are no longer sufficient for structural damage, the surgical spectrum includes microsurgical and reconstructive procedures:

Herniated Discs (Nucleotomy): Decompression of nerve roots in lumbar and cervical disc herniations.

Spinal Stenosis: Surgical widening of the narrowed spinal canal to restore walking distance.

Spondylolisthesis (Vertebral Slippage) & Degenerative Deformities: Stabilizing and reconstructive interventions on the spine.

Conservative Orthopedics & Specialized Pain Therapy

Structured Diagnostics: Comprehensive clinical-orthopedic examination of the entire musculoskeletal system.

Specialized Pain Therapy: Targeted infiltration therapies (e.g., epidural or perineural injections) for acute radiculopathies, herniated discs, and chronic back pain to avoid surgery.
