Born on 10 October 1960 in Lower Austria. Father of a daughter.

EDUCATION

Studied medicine at the Medical Faculty of the University of Vienna. University assistant at the Anatomical Institute of the University of Vienna. Training as a general practitioner in Lower Austria. Training as a specialist in surgery at KH Lilienfeld (Department of Surgery and Trauma Surgery), at the University Department of Surgery (AKH Vienna) and at the Lorenz Böhler Accident Hospital. Training as a specialist in pediatric surgery at the University Department of Surgery at the Vienna General Hospital.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Until 2001 station-leading senior physician at the Department of Pediatric Surgery in the AKH Vienna. Since 2001 senior physician at the Department of Pediatric Surgery at the Danube Hospital Vienna – with a personal focus on pediatric surgical gastroenterology and pediatric traumatology.
